Deb has had a camera in her hands since the 4th grade.

The daughter of a refugee, she was one of a minority of women engineers at Cornell University. Because as every first generation American child knows, it’s either medicine or engineering.

She got her first formal photography training in an elective class called “The Psychology of Visual Communications.” While she was working on her MBA at NYU-Stern she took a film class for fun and saw the documentary, For All Mankind. She got the power of story and said, “I want to do THAT!”

After finishing her MBA, it was off to a film set. She became a member of IATSE L644 in a matter of 7 months, and started working her way up. Along came YouTube. Suddenly, her film credits mattered as much as her technical experience.

Bringing all of her experiences to the job gives her storytelling impact, whether they play on the big screen or an iPhone.

Storytelling. She’s doing THAT.
